This practice can be carried out by anyone around you, including shopkeepers, salespeople or employees.<\/p><p><strong style=\"color: #000000;\">Minimize fraud risks:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Protect yourself and protect yourself when entering operational codes into ATM machines, whether for making transfers, payments, checking account balances and bank statements, or for any and all transactions you carry out with your credit or debit card;<\/li><li>Before entering your transaction code, check that the amount entered on the machines corresponds to the actual amount of your purchase;<\/li><li>Keep copies of purchase and payment receipts for the period following the purchase;<\/li><li>Regularly update and check your bank account statements;<\/li><li>In the event of theft or loss of identity documents and bank cards, immediately contact the police nearest to the location of the theft or loss and inform your bank to cancel the transactions.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong style=\"color: #000000;\">Online fraud, avoid it!<\/strong><br \/>When buying and selling goods online, you can never be too careful. In general, fraudsters seek, above all, to obtain all your personal information, as well as data relating to bank accounts, telephone contacts, access data (usernames and passwords) to bank accounts, emails and personal accounts, among others.<\/p><p><strong style=\"color: #000000;\">How to avoid falling victim to online fraud:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Do not provide your access data to personal areas to anyone;<\/li><li>When creating new passwords, make sure they are highly memorable, personal and non-transferable;<\/li><li>When you receive emails from suspicious or unknown sources, do not open them and put them directly in the recycle bin;<\/li><li>Be aware of manipulation attempts through chats and other online conversation platforms;<\/li><li>Do not allow your internet browser to automatically remember passwords on websites that access personal and confidential data;<\/li><li>Download documents and other content only from certified websites;<\/li><li>Keep track of your online purchases daily and don&#8217;t hesitate to ask sellers about the status of your transfers.<\/li><\/ul><h4 style=\"color: #4556d7;\">PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST FRAUD<\/h4><p>Whenever you suspect or have evidence of having been the victim of an attempted or completed fraud in the services provided by our institution, you must report it immediately through the channels indicated below:<\/p><p><strong style=\"color: #000000;\">1 \u2013 Area, contact, and person responsible for customer support in fraud situations<\/strong><br \/>The area responsible for supporting customers in cases of fraud and fraud-related complaints is the Internal Audit area, headed by<br \/>Vanessa Peredo.<\/p><p>Contacts<br \/>Internal Audit Department<br \/><strong style=\"color: #000000;\">E-mail<\/strong>: <a style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"mailto:suspeito.fraude@maxpay.com.pt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">suspeito.fraude@maxpay.com.pt<\/a><br \/>Duque de Saldanha Square, No. 1 \u2013 4th floor \u2013 Room GB \u2013 1050-094 Lisbon<\/p><p><strong style=\"color: #000000;\">2 \u2013 Ways of communicating information in case of fraud<\/strong><br \/><b>Customers and Third Parties:<\/b> Communications from customers or third parties should be made via the following email address: <a style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">suspeito.fraude@maxpay.com.pt<\/a><\/p><p><b>Employees:<\/b> Any employee has an obligation to report instances of fraud, even if they may only be suspected.
